The Ka-Bar Dozier Folding Hunter - Red (4062RD) from an American manufacturer is an ultra-light EDC folder designed by a highly respected knifemaker Bob Dozier. The blade made of Japanese stainless steel, combined with the handle made of red Zytel, will certainly become an indispensable element of everyday equipment.
The Dozier Folding Hunter knife from Ka-Bar has a Drop Point blade made of Japanese AUS-8A stainless steel with a thickness of 2.8 millimeters. It has a high hollow cut, finished with a plain cutting edge. The knife blade is extracted from the handle using a one-sided thumb pin at the base of the blade, the pin can be re-installed under the left hand. The knife is equipped with a Lockback, preventing the knife from folding during operation. The blade has a corrugation on the back at the base of the blade, thanks to which it provides good support for the thumb during precise cutting and improves the shortened knife grip.
The ergonomic handle of the knife, made entirely of zytel - a composite based on glass fiber reinforced nylon, is extremely light and durable. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The handle is equipped with a steel pocket clip in the tip-up position with the possibility of installation under the left hand. In the head of the handle there is a hole for a wrist lanyard.
