Ka-Bar Warthog Serrated Folding Knife (3073)

The Ka-Bar Warthog Serrated Folding Knife (3073) of the American manufacturer is a medium-sized EDC folder, equipped with a partially serrated cutting edge. The blade is made of stainless steel, supplemented with G10 epoxy-glass laminate linings.

The Warthog knife from Ka-Bar has a Drop Point blade made of 420 stainless steel with a thickness of 3 millimeters. The steel has been protected with a gray anti-reflective coating. It has a hollow cut, ending with a serrated cutting edge at the base and a plain cutting edge at the tip of the blade. The blade of the knife is extracted from the handle by means of a double-sided stud at the base of the blade. The knife is equipped with a Liner Lock to prevent the knife from folding during operation. The blade has a corrugation on the back at the base of the blade, thanks to which it provides good support for the thumb during precise cutting and improves the shortened knife grip.

The ergonomic handle of the knife, made of steel, has been supplemented with linings made of epoxy-glass laminate G10 in black. Epoxy G10 is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The delicate recess under the index finger is a slight dace, protecting the hand from slipping onto the knife blade. The handle has numerous corrugations on both sides of the head, thanks to which it is well felt in the hand. An additional use of said edges can be, for example, scraping wood in order to obtain a combustible material for lighting a fire. The knife handle is equipped with a pocket clip, designed for convenient carrying of equipment. The clip is in the tip-down position.
