The Ka-Bar Mark 98 (3066) Folding Knife is a medium-sized EDC folder, made of stainless steel, supplemented with G10 epoxy-glass laminate linings. A very durable knife for everyday use, dedicated to enthusiasts of resting in the bosom of nature.
The Mark 98 knife from Ka-Bar has a Spear Point blade made of 5Cr15 stainless steel with a thickness of 3.3 millimeters. The steel has been protected with a gray anti-reflective coating. It has a hollow cut, finished with a plain cutting edge. The knife blade is extracted from the handle with a convenient flipper or a double-sided groove along the back of the blade. The flipper, after opening the knife, is a prominent crossguard, protecting against accidental slipping of the hand onto the blade. The knife is equipped with a Liner Lock, preventing the knife from folding during operation.
The ergonomic handle of the knife is made of epoxy-glass laminate G10, similar in texture to micarta. Epoxy G10 is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The knife handle has a right-hand steel clip for convenient carrying on a belt or in a pocket, the clip can be freely re-installed in the tip-up or tip-down position.
