The Ka-Bar Skinner knife (1233) from the American manufacturer is a skinning tool from a series of classic hunting knives with a leather handle, released by Ka-Bar. A classic, mirror-finished blade, mounted on a buffalo leather handle, equipped with a brass guard and an aluminum pommel, all in an elegant natural leather sheath, decorated with an embossed trademark.
The Skinner knife (1233) from Ka-Bar has a Trailing Point-shaped blade with a clearly expanded, notched thumb ramp on the back of the blade base, thanks to this shape, we have more control over the blade for precise cutting. The blade has a hollow cut and a plain cutting edge, starting with a slight notch, placed on a small ricasso at the base of the blade. The shiny blade with a mirror finish is made of stainless steel DIN 1.4116 with a thickness of 2.8 millimeters.
The handle of the Skinner knife is made of pressed together discs of buffalo leather, forming slight depressions for the fingers, which significantly improves its ergonomics. It has a prominent, brass crossguard, preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade, and a solid, aluminum head, combined with a pin inside the handle. To maintain aesthetic consistency, the head has also been finished in a high gloss.
In the set with the knife, we get an elegant, leather sheath, adapted to carry the knife on the belt in a vertical position. The scabbard is decorated with an embossed Ka-Bar brand sign, polished rivets and aesthetic stitching running along the rivets. It is equipped with a loop that holds the handle, fastened with a steel, polished latch, which fits perfectly with the whole.
