The Hunter knife (1232) from the Ka-Bar company has a straight back-shaped blade with a slightly tapered ridge at the top of the blade, imitating the characteristic Bowie shape, beveling the tip of the blade. The blade has a high hollow cut and a plain cutting edge, starting with a slight notch, placed on a small ricasso at the base of the blade. The shiny blade with a mirror finish and hand-made cut is made of stainless steel DIN 1.4116 with a thickness of 2.8 millimeters.
The handle of the Hunter knife is made of pressed together discs of buffalo leather, forming slight recesses for the fingers, which significantly improves its ergonomics. It has a prominent, brass crossguard, preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade, and a solid, aluminum head, combined with a pin inside the handle. To maintain aesthetic consistency, the head has also been finished in a high gloss.
In the set with the knife, we get an elegant, leather sheath, adapted to carry the knife on the belt in a vertical position. The scabbard is decorated with an embossed Ka-Bar brand sign, polished rivets and aesthetic stitching running along the rivets.
