The Ka-Bar Johnson Adventure Piggyback knife (5599BP) from an American manufacturer is an ultra-light, low-profile and one-piece knife with a skeleton handle, designed by the respected knifemaker Steve Johnson. The Harpoon Point-shaped blade makes this knife a great addition to basic EDC equipment.
The Johnson Adventure Piggyback knife from Ka-Bar is made of one piece of 5Cr13MoV stainless steel with a satin finish and a thickness of 3 millimeters. The steel used is characterized by very good sharpening parameters and high corrosion resistance. The knife has a Harpoon Point blade with a high hollow cut with a laser-etched JAB Ka-Bar logo and a plain cutting edge. There are two ramps on the back of the blade and on the back of the handle. The ramp on the handle allows you to stiffen your grip when cutting precisely, while the ramp at the top of the blade provides excellent support for the index finger while skinning.
The skeleton handle allows you to maintain a low profile of the tool, making the knife extremely light and easy to hide under clothing. An additional advantage of this design is the ability to braid the handle yourself using a paracord or strap, thanks to which we can influence the profile of the handle, its ergonomics and grip in the hand. The handle has a cross-guard shape, thanks to which the hand does not slip onto the knife blade.
The knife comes with a polymer sheath with a hole for a chain or paracord, adapted to carry the knife around the neck.
