The Ka-Bar Folding Hunter (3189) Folding Knife from the American manufacturer is a medium-sized EDC folder with a slim Clip Point-shaped blade, referring to the popular Ka-Bar 1189 model years ago, but in this case, the stainless steel blade was composed with cladding made of black epoxy-glass laminate G10 and the construction was completed with a convenient pocket clip.
The Folding Hunter knife (3189) from Ka-Bar has a Clip Point blade made of 420 stainless steel with a thickness of 2.5 millimeters. The steel has been protected with a gray anti-reflective coating. It has a hollow cut, finished with a plain cutting edge. The knife blade is extracted from the handle by means of a double-sided thumb pin at the base of the blade or by means of a longitudinal groove at the edge of the back of the blade. The knife is equipped with a Lockback, preventing the knife from folding during operation.
The ergonomic handle of the knife, made of steel, has been supplemented with linings made of epoxy-glass laminate G10 in black. Epoxy G10 is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The handle is equipped with a steel pocket clip in the tip-down position with the possibility of re-installation under the left hand. There is a hole in the head of the handle for a wrist safety lanyard.
