The Ka-Bar Mule Serrated Folding Knife (3063) from an American manufacturer is a medium-sized EDC folder, equipped with a partially serrated stainless steel blade. Extremely durable cladding made of epoxy-glass laminate G10 in black, gives a firm grip and fits well with the gray finish of the blade.
The Mule knife from Ka-Bar has a Clip Point blade made of 420 stainless steel with a thickness of 3.5 millimeters. The steel has been protected with a gray anti-reflective coating. It has a hollow cut, ending with a serrated cutting edge at the base and a smooth cutting edge at the tip of the blade. The blade of the knife is extracted from the handle by means of a double-sided stud at the base of the blade. The knife is equipped with a Back Lock, preventing the knife from folding during operation. The blade has a corrugation on the back at the base of the blade, thanks to which it provides good support for the thumb during precise cutting and improves the shortened knife grip.
The ergonomic handle of the knife, made of steel, has been supplemented with linings made of epoxy-glass laminate G10 in black. Epoxy G10 is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The delicate recess under the index finger is a slight dace, protecting the hand from slipping onto the knife blade. The handle is equipped with a pocket clip in the tip-up position with the possibility of re-installation under the left hand. In the head of the handle there is a hole for a wrist lanyard.
