The Ka-Bar Dozier Thumb Notch Folding Knife (4065) from an American manufacturer is an ultra-light EDC folder designed by the highly respected knifemaker Bob Dozier. A Clip Point blade made of Japanese AUS 8A steel, combined with an ultra-light Zytel handle, will certainly become an irreplaceable element of everyday equipment.
The Dozier Thumb Notch knife from Ka-Bar has a satin Clip Point blade made of Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel with a thickness of 2.8 millimeters. It has a high hollow cut, ending with a plain cutting edge. The knife blade is extracted from the handle using a large hole at the base of the blade. The knife is equipped with a Lockback, which prevents the knife from folding during operation. The slightly bulging spine of the blade base provides good support for the thumb when cutting precisely and improves the shortened knife handle.
The ergonomic handle of the knife, made entirely of zytel - a composite based on glass fiber reinforced nylon, is extremely light and durable. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. The handle is equipped with a steel pocket clip in the tip-up position with the possibility of installation under the left hand. In the head of the handle there is a hole for a wrist lanyard.
