Carbon steel 1095 was used to make the knife. This material is characterized by excellent cutting aggression and durability. However, this steel is susceptible to corrosion, and therefore the SP2 Air Force Survival blade has been protected with a special protective coating. In addition to rusting, it also protects the blade against scratches. The blade is hardened to the level of ~ 56-58HRC, which gives high cutting edge strength. The handle is made of a modern material - Tan (sand) craton. This rubber-like material has excellent grip. It is also resistant to various chemicals and non-flammable. In combination with deep texturing, the knife holds very firmly, even in the toughest conditions.
The set includes a nylon sheath, for convenient carrying the knife at the belt.
