Radio Pocket Maskpol TM-09 - MAPA B, Polish production, by Maskpol, is a tactical pocket designed for convenient carrying of PMR communicators. It is fully compatible with Molle/Pals modular systems. Pocket in unique MAPA B camouflage.
The pocket dedicated to carrying radiotelephones from the Polish manufacturer, Maskpol, is made of Cordura 560 laminate. This material is very resistant to abrasion and tearing. Equipment made on the basis of Cordura laminate is durable and resistant to damage, and at the same time extremely light, which is crucial for missions lasting many hours in difficult terrain.
This pocket has a simple structure, it is a single-chamber open pocket, equipped with a bangee-type closing loop, made of an elastic shock cord adjustable with a drawstring, slipped onto the top of the radio, protects it against uncontrolled slipping or loss, even with very high dynamics of overcoming obstacles in the field. This loop is equipped with a special handle that facilitates operation with gloves. The adjustable shock cord puller allows us to adjust the bangee loop to the size of the radio. The side walls of the pocket are made of two rows of elastic bands, thanks to which, regardless of the model of the PMR used, the pocket exerts side pressure on the receiver and keeps it in the desired position.
The pocket mounting system is based on a laser-cut Molle panel with two straps, it is dedicated to installation on Molle / Pals platforms placed on tactical vests and backpacks. We can also successfully install this pocket on the waist.
The MAPA camouflage was created by Maciej Dojlitko, a graduate and currently a researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, the author of, among others, publication Theory of visual message deconstruction. Military camouflage design tools (Gdańsk 2015). The innovative project, supported by convincing theoretical and experimental arguments, including computer analysis of thousands of photographs of the terrain, drew the attention of specialists and manufacturers of military clothing.
MAPA camouflage in the basic forest variant is characterized by:
The use of six colors creating layers resembling contour lines on a map
Selection of colors optimized for activities in the forests of Central Europe
The use of the illusion of three-dimensionality and the effect of anamorphosis
Biomorphic shapes that resemble the pattern of vegetation
Highly contrasting elements imitating light and shadows
Using a macro pattern to deform a camouflaged object
Color noise reproduced with a micropattern
