Ka-Bar Coypu Folding Knife (3085)

The Ka-Bar Coypu Folding Knife (3085) from an American manufacturer is a medium-sized rescue folder, equipped with an additional belt-cutting blade integrated in the handle and a solid glass breaker in the handle head. The perfect EDC folder that will not only cope with everyday tasks, but also get you out of trouble in an emergency.

The Coypu knife from Ka-Bar has a Drop Point blade made of 5Cr15 stainless steel with a thickness of 2.9 millimeters. The steel has been protected with a gray anti-reflective coating. It has a hollow cut, finished with a plain cutting edge. The blade of the knife is extracted from the handle by means of a double-sided stud at the base of the blade. The knife is equipped with a Liner Lock to prevent the knife from folding during operation. The blade has a corrugation on the back at the base of the blade, thanks to which it gives good support for the thumb during precise cutting and improves the shortened knife grip.

The ergonomic handle of the knife, made of steel, has been supplemented with linings made of epoxy-glass laminate G10 in black. Epoxy G10 is characterized by high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage. The linings have a textured surface, thanks to which the knife lies securely in the hand and does not slip even in adverse weather conditions. A clear recess for the index finger is a slight crossguard, protecting the hand from slipping onto the knife blade. The Coypu folder is equipped with an additional, exposed and integrated in the handle blade for cutting belts, thanks to which we can use a closed folder as a standard cutter. The knife handle has a right-hand steel clip for convenient carrying on a belt or in a pocket in the tip-down position. The whole knife is finished with a solid glass breaker, placed in the head of the handle.
