The Roamer R345 is made of 9Cr18MoV steel. It is stainless steel characterized by high abrasion resistance and good cutting aggression. The handle is made of a modern thermoplastic polymer. In combination with an interesting surface texture, it translates into a very secure grip, even in difficult conditions (e.g. when cutting with sweaty hands or wearing gloves).
The shape of the knife undoubtedly refers to the classic trapper blades used for skinning game. These types of tools, the so-called skinnery or skinning knives, however, were highly specialized. The Roamer R345 was designed as a more universal construction. For this reason, the tip of the blade is not so raised in relation to the line of the handle. The handle itself has also been shaped in a more modern way, giving the hand a very good support. Due to the thickness (3.8 mm) and the length of the blade, the knife undoubtedly has a "power reserve". It can easily cope with tasks such as chopping or baring. The spine of the blade has a prominent edge, so you can easily use the knife to strike the fire with a flint. There are transverse ribs at the handle, giving the fingers some support. This solution will prove particularly useful when performing work that requires precision and strength.
The ergonomic handle is equipped with deep texturing for a secure grip. The widening of both its ends provide good support for the hand, and the hole for the rope allows for the use of additional belaying. The knife is sold complete with a scabbard made of durable black leather. The belt loop is attached to the D-ring, which ensures mobility. Thanks to this, the knife does not interfere, for example, when kneeling, sitting or doing some camp work.
