The Schrade I-BEAM FDE knife (1185977) created by an American manufacturer is a medium-sized survival knife with a fixed blade in Full Tang construction, made of high-carbon AUS-8 stainless steel, supplemented with G10 epoxy-glass laminate linings.
The Drop Point-shaped blade with a slightly prominent back is made of 3.5 mm thick AUS-8 high-carbon stainless steel, finished with black oxidation, has a hollow cut, finished with a plain cutting edge. On the back of the knife at the base and just above the head of the handle, there is a special corrugation, improving the grip and giving additional support for precise cutting. The blade at the base has a prominent crossguard, protecting the user from slipping his hand onto the knife blade.
The knife has an ergonomic handle made of epoxy-glass laminate G10, thanks to which the knife not only fits perfectly in the hand and guarantees a secure grip, but is also extremely resistant to damage. The handle has a hole in the head, intended for a wrist lanyard.
In the set with the knife, we get a hard polymer sheath, adapted to carry the knife on a belt with a maximum width of 35 millimeters. On the outer edges of the sheath, there are numerous slots in accordance with the modular system and holes for the paracord, allowing you to freely adjust the method of carrying the tool.
