The knife uses a blade with a useful drop-point profile, made of premium steel - CPM-S90V. This super steel is hardened to 59-61 HRC. CPM-S90V is a luxury stainless steel with a very high content of vanadium and carbon, which make the blade extremely resistant to abrasion and corrosion. When choosing a hard steel knife, you should get a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and ineffective.
The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand, thanks to the use of a double-sided pin (made of anodized aluminum), thus enabling comfortable operation of the knife for right and left-handed people. The blade lock is of course Axis-lock, the flagship mechanism of the Benchmade brand, valued for its great resistance to loads, insensitivity to dirt and ease of use.
The Benchmade 535-3 Bugout has linings made of light and durable carbon fiber, which, in addition to the impressive appearance, ensures the minimum weight of the knife - only 57 g. Gently profiled linings with non-slip texturing ensure a secure and comfortable grip of the knife. The compact clip with the option of relocation (left / right) allows you to carry the knife in your pocket in a very discreet, unobtrusive way. The handle also has a hole for attaching a rope or paracord braid.
