The Schrade Steel Driver knife (1182618) of American production is a medium-sized knife with a fixed blade with a one-piece Full Tang construction, designed for bushcraft and hunting activities. Equipped with a blade with a modified Clip Point profile with a delicate Re-Curve at the base of the blade, designed to cope with any task put to it.
The Steel Driver knife from Schrade has a medium-sized blade with a modified Clip Point profile with a delicate Re-Curve, hollow grind and a plain cutting edge, made of 3.6 mm thick AUS-8 high-carbon stainless steel. The entire blade was oxidized black, protecting the steel against damage and corrosion and eliminating light reflections. The base of the blade has a prominent crossguard protecting the user against accidental slipping of the hand onto the blade. The additional corrugation placed on the back of the blade base provides very good support for precise cutting and shortening the grip, while the corrugation placed on the back of the handle just above the head improves the elongated grip, used, for example, when chopping.
The knife has an ergonomic handle made of epoxy-glass laminate G10, thanks to which the knife not only fits perfectly in the hand and guarantees a secure grip, but is also extremely resistant to damage. The handle has a hole in the head, intended for a wrist lanyard.
In the set with the knife, we get a hard polymer sheath, adapted to carry the knife on a belt with a maximum width of 35 millimeters. On the outer edges of the sheath, there are numerous slots in accordance with the modular system and holes for the paracord cord, allowing you to freely adjust the method of carrying the tool.
