Cold Steel Urban Edge is a push-dagger knife produced by the famous American brand. The company from Texas is constantly expanding its offer, introducing to the assortment new constructions inspired by, among others historical melee weapons or tactical knives. The Cold Steel Urban Edge is inspired by typical daggers used from the beginning of the 20th century mainly for self-defense and concealed carrying.
The knife is made of Japanese AUS-8a steel. It is a material characterized above all by a very high level of corrosion resistance. This steel is easy to sharpen and retains the so-called working sharpness and has a decent cutting aggression. Thanks to this, it is perfect for everyday use knives. Thanks to its rustproofness, AUS-8a is a great choice for a push-dagger construction, which is often worn directly on the body, and thus exposed to sweat, etc. Kray-Ex® material is used for the handle. Like steel, this polymer is also insensitive to moisture, various substances and temperature extremes.
The shape of the knife is characteristic of the push-dagger construction. Double-edged, dagger blade has a very penetrating tip, perfectly capable of piercing all materials. The handle has a classic T-shape, so it is perpendicular to the blade line. This form allows you to comfortably catch the knife so that the blade is held between the index and middle fingers. Kray-Ex® material has been finished with a clear, rough structure. Thanks to this, the knife can also be used comfortably with wet (e.g. sweaty) hands or with gloves.
Cold Steel Urban Edge is equipped with a practical scabbard made of Secure-Ex®. The injection-molded polymer ensures a perfect fit to the shape of the knife, guaranteeing full safety of its use. The scabbard has a variety of holes that allow the knife to be attached in various ways. The dagger can be worn as a typical neck knife (around the neck), or attached to equipment (e.g. a backpack).
