The ESEE Model 4 is the "big brother" of the iconic Model 3, with which the history of the American brand began. The design was slightly (approx. 2 cm) lengthened, while maintaining a similar profile of the blade or the shape of the handle. Thanks to this, the tool is perfect for heavier field work, while maintaining high comfort of wearing on a belt or with gear.
The knife blade is made of 1095 carbon steel resistant to chipping and cracking. Due to the high carbon content, this material is susceptible to corrosion, and therefore the ESEE Model 4 blade is covered with a black powder coating. The knife handle is made of the popular G10 material. Its durability and great adhesion, which it guarantees, is appreciated by people who use the product for the toughest tasks. In addition, the 3D version has a suitably shaped handle, which is to provide an even better grip when working with a knife.
The shape of the tool is basically an enlarged Model 3. Also in this ESEE knife, the classic drop-point type was used, equipped with an undercut under the finger and notches on the back, allowing for more precise work. The large handle is straight profiled for a better grip, it also has a pseudo-yoke that gives a firm support to the hand and a hole for a safety rope. The full-tang construction ensures a very high strength of the product, and the cladding fixed with screws can be easily replaced if damaged, even in the field.
ESEE Model 4 is equipped with a practical scabbard made of thermoformed plastic. Such a fit guarantees full safety and high comfort of using the cover. Numerous holes allow the knife to be attached to equipment, e.g. a backpack, and the attached mounting systems allow it to be worn e.g. on a belt or in a pocket.
