Crawford Model 1 Linerlock is an interesting proposition of a folding knife from the American brand Cold Steel. The manufacturer is associated with military, tactical design. The company's offer is very wide and you can find both large, field tools and simple structures intended mainly for use as EDC. The Crawford model is a folding knife, the main task of which is everyday use, but its aesthetics strongly refer to modern military knives.
The material used to make the head of the folder is 4034 stainless steel. It is the equivalent of 420HC steel, i.e. the classic "four hundred twenty" with an increased carbon content. This change in composition translates into a significant improvement in parameters such as cutting aggression, focusing, etc. Nevertheless, the 4034 still has a high corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use in a humid environment. Zy-Ex® material is used for the Cold Steel Crawford Model 1 handle. The material provides high resistance, among others to mechanical damage, the action of various substances or moisture. The shape of the tool clearly refers to large, modern military knives. The clip-point blade, thanks to the use of a false blade, has a durable, yet penetrating tip that perfectly copes with piercing and precise work.
