Cold Steel AK-47 DLC S35VN (58M) is a medium-sized folding knife, the name and its aggressive design refer to the bayonets dedicated to the famous rifle. Thanks also to good quality materials, its a very versatile and reliable tool.
The knife has a wide Drop Point shaped blade made of high quality S35VN steel with a satin finish. The material is made using the powder sintering technology and guarantees excellent resistance to cracks and fraying as well as corrosion. Knives made of this steel are characterized by a very long maintenance of the working sharpness. In order to increase corrosion resistance and avoid glare, the blade is covered with a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating.
The blade itself is secured with a Tri-Ad Lock when it is open. The lock works in a similar way as the standard Back Lock, with the difference that the blade does not come in direct contact with the lock, but with a special pin, which is designed to absorb all stresses. Therefore, the Tri-Ad Lock is much more durable and fulfills its task even with considerable overloads. While it does not matter so much in smaller knives, Cold Steel successfully uses this solution in larger knives to ensure a high level of protection during knife operation.
Properly shaped grips are made of a light and durable G10 composite, which, thanks to its characteristic texture, ensures a good grip when operating a knife. At the end of the handle, there is also a hole for a safety rope, which will allow you to conveniently pull the knife out of your pocket or provide additional protection for your hand while working with a knife.
