Cold Steel Kyoto II Fixed Blade is an interesting proposition from the offer of the American brand. The knife's form strongly refers to Japanese swords and daggers. Its dimensions allow it to be used as a handy fixed EDC or a small field knife.
The steel used to make the model is 8Cr13MoV. The material compared to the Japanese AUS-8 is characterized by good durability and cutting aggression. Steel keeps sharpness relatively well and is eagerly used by many well-known manufacturers in their more budget models.
The knife handle is made of durable Kray-Ex® material. Its form directly refers to classic Japanese solutions, such as katana or wakizashi. However, this is not just a question of aesthetics. The characteristic shape of the braid also provides excellent grip and a secure grip.
Although the handle is a direct reference to Japanese designs, the Cold Steel Kyoto II does not use the typical tanto blade, as in the first version of the model. Instead, a classic European-style blade was chosen. Thanks to this, the knife is much better suited to cutting and most everyday tasks.

Cold Steel Kyoto II is a knife that definitely attracts attention with its form. Despite this, it is not only a collector's item, but a fully functional, small tool. The model works well as an urban fixed EDC, it can also be used as a practical backup during various outdoor activities. Kyoto II will appeal to lovers of tactical style and Japanese atmosphere.
