Gerber Gator Bush Machete (31-002848)

Gerber Gator Bush machete offers an exceptionally large, very durable blade that will certainly work even in the most demanding jobs. Thanks to this, Gator Bush is not only a great choice in the field, but also a machete that will find its application, for example, in gardening.

The high-carbon 1055 steel was used to produce the Gerber machete. This material is easy to work with, and at the same time extremely resistant to cracks or chipping. This makes spring steel perfectly suitable for the production of this type of tool. The cutting edge maintains its working sharpness for a long time, and if necessary, we can re-sharpen it relatively easily, even in off-road conditions. The only disadvantage of the 1050 is its rustiness - but the manufacturer also thought about it, coating the blade with a special, anti-corrosion powder coating. For the handle, the American manufacturer used thermoplastic rubber in the innovative GatorGrip® technology. The alligator-like texture gives the grip an exceptionally high grip. This allows you to work with the tool even in the most demanding conditions, e.g. with wet hands.

The shape of the Gerber model refers to the classic Bush machetes. Such tools have been widely used for years in Latin America. The large size of the blade combined with a slight curvature is an excellent choice for tearing through the Amazon rainforest. As with other models of the American brand, the Gator Bush has also been slightly redesigned in relation to the traditional form. Thanks to this, the machete is a bit better for works typical for our climate. We can successfully use a tool, e.g. for chopping wood or for camp work. The flat grinding with a relatively low profile guarantees very high durability of the cutting edge and its easy sharpening.

Also the handle of the Gerber Gator Bush has been redesigned for maximum ergonomics. The prominent crossguard and the profiling under the fingers make the machete extremely comfortable in the hand, ensuring comfort and a secure grip. At the bottom of the handle there is a hole with a rope, which can provide additional protection, e.g. against the tool slipping out of the hand. In the set with the machete, we also get a durable black cordura scabbard, which allows you to safely carry the tool or attach it to the backpack.
