The CRKT Amicus Compact (5441) is a small folding knife designed by Jesper Voxnaes that is ideal as an everyday knife (EDC) or as a spare knife.
The knife has a tanto-shaped blade with a plain edge, made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. It is a very versatile steel and thanks to hardening up to 58-60 HRC, it has good cutting properties, but it is also easy to sharpen even in field conditions.
The blade itself, when open, is secured with a Frame-Lock. The principle of operation is the same as in the popular Liner-Lock, but the lock strip is also an element of the knife frame. It provides an appropriate level of safety, and its operation is very intuitive, both with the right and the left hand.
The properly profiled cladding of the handle is made of very light and durable polymer G-10, which provides a good grip when operating a knife. At the end of the handle, there is also a hole for a safety rope, which will allow you to conveniently pull the knife out of your pocket or provide additional protection for your hand while working with a knife. The end cap can also be used as a makeshift glass breaker.
Convenient carrying is ensured by a metal clip that allows you to easily attach the knife to a belt or to the edge of a pocket.
