The Cold Steel GI Tanto (80PGTK) is a simple survival knife that was created for heavy camp tasks.
The full tang blade, Tanto-shaped, was made of hardened 1055 spring steel, which is characterized by good strength and impact resistance. In addition, the blade is covered with a powder coating that does not reflect light and protects against corrosion.
In order to keep the whole structure as strong as possible, the handles are made of polypropylene and attached to the steel pin with screws. In the rear part of the handle there is a hole for threading a safety rope, which will make it easier to reach for the knife and protect the hand from accidentally slipping onto the blade.
For convenient and safe carrying of the knife, a sheath made of Secure-Ex® material is used, which, thanks to numerous holes and grommets, allows it to be attached to a belt or equipment, in various configurations.
