Cold Steel – whose team members work as weapon consultants, stuntmen, and fight choreographers in Hollywood – was fascinated by this traditional design and decided to create a fully functional, durable hatchet rather than just a movie prop. With its specialized forging process, differentially hardened blade, and solid American Hickory handle, the Axe Gang Hatchet is perfect for practical use and makes an interesting addition to any edged weapon collection.

The blade is made from 1055 steel, with a cutting edge hardened to a very high level, allowing it to achieve exceptional sharpness. At the same time, the axe body remains flexible, which helps absorb impact when striking. A stylish "Axe Gang" motif is engraved in Kanji (漢字), adding to its distinctive appearance.
