The Shield Arms S15 Magazine Catch for Glock 43X/48 was specifically designed with steel S15 magazines (Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3) in mind, providing optimal compatibility and increased reliability. Made of steel and available in various finish options, it guarantees long service life and consistent performance.

The manufacturer emphasizes that although this catch remains compatible with factory Glock polymer magazines, prolonged use may accelerate their wear, and the magazines may not drop free after pressing the catch. Therefore, the recommended setup is steel on steel (steel magazine catch with S15 steel magazines) or polymer on polymer (factory catch with factory magazines).

If you have a first-generation aluminum magazine catch, it may not function correctly with S15 Gen 2 and Gen 3 magazines. To fully take advantage of the new generation of magazines, it is advised to upgrade to the steel version.
