Mystery Ranch Metcalf 50l Hunting Backpack is the pack you want loaded and sitting shotgun in your hunting rig all season. With the ULTRA LIGHT MT™ frame, it can handle all the weight you can throw at it. The METCALF 50 is light enough to carry as a daypack, but strong enough to help you pack out your animal. Keep your essentials close and easily accessible in the detachable lid or remove the lid all together and run with a smaller pack. The roll top closure easily cinches down and securely clips to either the side or front of the pack, while the side zip allows quick access to all your big items. Additionally, the Overload design provides greater transport possibilities, and the low weight of the backpack will not unnecessarily increase the weight of our equipment.
The upgraded METCALF is a versatile workhorse with enough volume for a week in the field but compressible enough for an afternoon stalk. Utilizing custom-developed SJ Autolock buckles throughout, this new hardware collection provides the perfect blend of strength and weight. The 500D Light Plus fabric delivers high tensile and tear resistance, key characteristics for a robust, purpose-driven hunting frame.
The five-point waist belt incorporates the highly functional Redirect system and delivers solid weight distribution and eliminates slippage over your hips, regardless of the load.
OVERLOAD® feature provides functional expandability via a load sling between the pack and the frame, allowing you to put the bulk of the weight closest to your back for optimal comfort.
The patented Futura Yoke easily micro adjusts to the torso length allowing the proper amount of stand-off between the back and frame.
When choosing the size of the backpack's yoke system, measure the torso with a tailor measure tape (distance from the navel to the collarbone at the neck). For lengths between 38 and 51 cm, choose size S / M, for lengths between 43 and 61 cm, the better choice will be size L / XL. If you are between the compartments, the manufacturer recommends choosing a smaller size. The waist belt for XL size fits around the hips circumference 100+ cm.
