Tasmanian Tiger City Daypack 20 is a backpack for discreet operations. A small, 20-liter capacity optimized for covert operations, equipped with a divided main compartment with the possibility of carrying weapons and a double front pocket with modular solutions, combines the functions of tactical equipment with an inconspicuous civilian appearance.

The backpack's twenty-liter capacity and inconspicuous appearance with civilian characteristics are perfect for several hours of tactical operations in urban areas. Thanks to its compact form and low weight, the product also works great as an urban EDC backpack. Thanks to the use of a comfortable carrying system made of thermoformed technical foam, it will provide greater comfort than most models available on the market, providing excellent ergonomics combined with the extraordinary lightness of this solution. The use of modular solutions in the form of numerous mounting platforms in the MOLLE/PALS system and Hook-and-Loop inside the backpack allows for optimal preparation of the carrier for operational activities, and the inconspicuous appearance and civilian character will allow for discretion during the investigation.

For the production of the City Daypack 20 backpack, the manufacturer used highly advanced fabrics with a polyurethane (PU) coating that guarantees waterproofness. A large part of this discreetly multi-purpose backpack is the TEC RIP 5.0 fabric, which is an advanced combination of polyamide and polyester fibers in a ratio of 82% PA fibers and 18% polyester fibers. The extremely durable TEXTREME 6.6 polyester fabric and the flexible T-STRETCH fabric were also used to make the external structure of the backpack. All zippers used in the model are durable products of the renowned YKK® brand, and acetal elements, characterized by extraordinary resistance to wear, are products supplied by the Woojin plastic® brand. 
TEC RIP 5.0. Composition: 82% Polyamide, 18% Polyester. 
Durable, tear-resistant material made of a combination of polyamide and polyester (82% PA, 18% PES), has a subtle check pattern and is equipped with a PU coating that provides water resistance.
TEXTREME 6.6. Composition: 100% polyester.
Textured polyester material with 600 den threads is strong, durable and versatile. The PU coating provides a waterproof finish.
T-STRETCH. Composition: 100% polyester.
T-Stretch is a very light and strong material resistant to wear, while maintaining high elasticity of the fibers.
NYLON TAPE. Composition: 100% polyamide.
Nylon tape with a very dense, special fiber weave, creating a fabric with high stability with a high coefficient of resistance to abrasion and tearing. Widely used for the production of harnesses, belts and all kinds of reinforcements on fabric surfaces exposed to high loads.
POLYESTER TAPE. Composition: 100% polyester.
Woven ribbed webbing is extremely resistant to wear and tear and is used for packing straps, belts, handles and delicate strapping.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal.
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal has excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal has excellent flexural memory and retention of properties under repeated loading. Normal short-term use temperature range is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for heavy-duty applications and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for its backpack buckles. Physical properties remain constant over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.

The backpack, despite its small capacity, has a sufficiently large back surface to accommodate a compact MP5 submachine gun (or MP7 with a retracted stock) in its main compartment. The backpack's design is based on a single cargo compartment with double access via two-way YKK zippers equipped with padlock eyes (the zipper located in the middle of the body is size 8 and reaches 2/3 of the body's height, while the zipper located along the edge of the back is size 10 and reaches all the way to the edge of the bottom of the backpack). The main compartment is divided into two sections, which can be freely reconfigured. The division is made using a completely removable wall, attached to the bottom and side walls of the backpack using Velcro panels. The partition wall is filled with 4-millimeter-thick shock-absorbing foam, and has 4 horizontal soft fleece strips on one side, allowing for additional equipment to be attached using Velcro (on the side corresponding to the attachment with hard Velcro tabs for attachment to the body). Thanks to the use of one-sided, hard Velcro tabs on the partition wall, we can independently decide on the capacity of both sections of the main compartment of the backpack, by attaching the wall according to preferences or tactical requirements of covert operations. The range of section capacity variation corresponds to the width of the mounting Velcro, which is 4 centimeters. On the rear wall of the interior, there are 4 special Velcro panels, laser-cut in the MOLLE standard, constituting a uniform mounting platform with the dimensions of 4 mounting columns with 13 rows of MOLLE tapes (14 slots). Thanks to the use of two separate modular systems, MOLLE and Hook-and-Loop, the backpack allows for convenient adjustment of the preferred additional equipment (holsters, ammunition pouches, weapon mounts). This wall, hidden behind the aforementioned reconfigurable partition wall and with separate access via a zipper along the edge of the back, provides an excellent space for carrying handguns and machine guns, along with the necessary additional equipment. The backpack also has compression straps integrating the front wall with the side walls, and a very important issue of the design of these straps is the fact that they do not surround the zipper closing the access from the back, thanks to which access to the weapon through this zipper is unrestricted and allows you to maintain the full dynamics of the conducted operations in the event of the need to draw weapons from it. The front section of the main chamber does not have additional internal organizers and successfully fulfills the functions of a simple tourist or urban EDC backpack. In the central point of the top there is an opening that allows you to lead out the hydration system tube or the antenna of the communication system. The interior of the main chamber does not have internal fastenings or D-rings intended for the installation of a hydration bladder, it is necessary to mount it on the previously mentioned Velcro MOLLE installation platform.

The front of this inconspicuous backpack has two front pockets with an oval line of zippers. The first pocket, loaded from the top, has a deep interior that is the flap of the lower pocket. It is closed with a one-way YKK brand zipper (size 5) with a small opening depth and has a simple and at the same time standard interior for most city backpacks. On the inner wall of this pocket, there is a basic organizer in the form of three adjacent inlet pockets. The first inlet pocket is made of a mesh fabric, has an elastic trim made of spandex tape and measures 11 centimeters wide by 13 cm deep, it is adjacent to a pocket of the same construction but only 2 cm wide and is intended for a writing instrument (or a small Kubotan). The last pocket has the same dimensions as the first and is made of polyester fabric without an elastic inlet. On the front of this pocket there is an acetal key hook (model: Stable Key Hook, patented by the Woojin plastic® brand). The second of the front pockets, dedicated primarily to covert tasks, is loaded from the bottom. It has a YKK zipper with a double slider (size 5) and a slightly deeper opening than the first of the pockets. The interior of this pocket differs significantly in its design from the first pocket, namely it has a pocket flap attached to the inside, it is enough to insert the open flap deep into the pocket and attach it with Velcro to the body of the upper pocket (from the inside using Velcro). Thanks to this procedure, the pocket remains open and reveals a single Velcro MOLLE mounting panel made using the lasercut method with dimensions of 2 mounting columns with 5 rows of MOLLE tapes (6 slots) and two vertical strips of soft Velcro on both sides of the platform. The solution used in the construction of this pocket allows for the mounting of a short weapon and constant and quick access to the installed equipment. You can also place ID patches (name tags, information about your unit affiliation) on the Velcro surface, which allows for excellent identification when entering active operational activities. The flap, rolled up and fastened inside, also has a handle that allows you to quickly and easily tear off the rolled-up flap and quickly close the pocket to its initial position. The outer casing of the backpack in question also has standard pockets for drinks or bottles made of elastic fabric located on the sides of the backpack, below the main compartment zipper, located on the bottom surface of the backpack, a large eyelet made of webbing on the left side of the front (bottom edge line) that allows for the anchoring of additional equipment (both tourist and operational equipment, which additionally emphasizes the universal use of the backpack).

The backpack carrying system, which consists of thermoformed back made of technical foam covered with T-STRETCH fabric and shoulder straps lined with the same foam and mesh fabric (Heavy Mesh) is a new technology of the German company - TT Thermo Mold carrying system. It provides an optimal, ergonomic shape, adjusted to the body shape, guarantees appropriate cushioning and ventilation, which translates into comfort, especially when worn for long periods. Comfortable, wide shoulder straps with full adjustment minimize the occurrence of abrasions during use (adjustment based on regulators model: Champ Lock). Additionally, each of the shoulder straps has a D-ring (model: Smoothy Hydee), located at the height of the collarbone after putting on the backpack, which allows you to conveniently attach the mouthpiece of the hydration tube on the selected side. The shoulder straps also have a chest strap, which allows you to stabilize the backpack when put on. The chest strap is lined with additional elastic tape on one side, has a quick release buckle fastening with two-sided adjustment (model: Dual Adjustable Alto). The belt is mounted on vertical runs of the webbing tape via removable regulators (model: Smoothy Open TQ patented by Woojin plastic®) and allows for height adjustment, which significantly translates into comfort of use. The backpack also has a strong handle at the top, made of Cordura and stiffened with an additional layer of this polyamide fabric, allowing for comfortable carrying in the hand and simplifying loading/unloading from the luggage space of means of transport.

The backpack is equipped with separate compression straps for each side, allowing you to easily and effectively reduce its volume when you are not using the entire internal space. The compression straps are permanently integrated with the body of the backpack inside the edge of the side wall with the front and on the side wall just before the line of the last zipper (described above). Each of the compression straps is fastened with a one-sided adjustable quick release buckle (model: Single Adjustable Alto) and has additional elastic loops to secure excess tape. The backpack also has a hip belt in the form of a webbing strap attached to permanent straps with regulators (model: Smoothy Lock, patented by the Woojin plastic® brand), located on the sides just at the lower edge of the back. The hip belt is fastened with a quick release buckle with double-sided adjustment (model: Dual Adjustable Alto) and has additional elastic loops to secure excess tape.
