The Tasmanian Tiger Heavy Frame MKII Transporter consists of an extremely capacious, single-chamber transport bag with internal slot pockets and external pockets equipped with MOLLE/PALS platforms and a solid and extremely light (1.7 kg), welded aluminum frame, equipped with 10 cm wide wheels (3 cm) mounted on double 608ZB ball bearings from KJ. The extremely durable aluminum frame used in this product has been covered with black powder coating, has numerous structural reinforcements, and thanks to the materials used, it is also resistant to corrosion. The wheels protrude beyond the frame outline by up to 4 cm, which gives optimal clearance and allows you to move a full load even on the most bumpy route. A valuable advantage of the frame used is its versatility, namely separating it from the body not only simplifies storage of the entire bag, but also gives it the ability to cope with additional tasks, both at home and in the field (when used as a transport trolley). Thanks to transverse reinforcements, it allows for effective anchoring of ropes and tapes stabilizing the transported resources and allows for convenient movement of firewood, a significant supply of water, or movement of any non-standard field equipment as part of the organization of field operations.
Tasmanian Tiger, as a manufacturer of professional military and premium police equipment, uses only the highest quality materials to make its products, both to meet the needs of even the most demanding customers, as well as to provide equipment that will serve without failure for years of use. Many materials with specialist applications were used to produce the Transporter Heavy Frame MKII bag, and the largest components for the production of the transporter are Cordura® and Nylon 420. Specifying the use of the aforementioned materials, the famous Cordura® 700 den was used on the external cover, and a lightweight Nylon 420 den HD polyamide fabric with a contrasting light color to the body was used to make the internal linings along with the inlet pockets and the internal stabilizer of the transported load. Cordura® 700D is a fabric typical of Tasmanian Tiger products. The manufacturer was the first in Europe to start using it to produce tactical equipment, appreciating its incredible strength and durability. All zippers used in the model are durable products of the renowned YKK® brand, and acetal elements, characterized by extraordinary resistance to wear, are products supplied by the Woojin plastic® brand.
CORDURA® 700 Den. Composition: 100% polyamide.
CORDURA® with a fiber thickness of 700 den is a combination of high wear and tear resistance of classic 1000 den fabric with the lightness of 500 den fabric. This material is characterized by long-term stability, high resistance to abrasion and tearing.
NYLON 420 Den HD. Composition: 100% polyamide.
Classic 420 den nylon material has proven itself in the "high density" (HD) version as a good, very flexible basic material. The 420 den yarn provides it with very high tear resistance. The material is waterproof thanks to the triple PU coating.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% Acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal has excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal has excellent flexural memory and retention of properties under repeated loading. Normal short-term temperature range is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for its backpack buckles. Physical properties remain constant over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
VINYL. Composition: 100% Polychloride
This is a soft plastic and is used as a clear film for vision pockets.
HEAVY MESH. Composition: 100% Polyester.
A heavyweight woven mesh of polyester, used with a polypropylene or polyurethane filler for additional cushioning, and has a high air circulation coefficient. Material also used for the production of storage bags and integrated mesh pockets.
NYLON WEBBING. Composition: 100% polyamide.
Nylon tape with a very dense, special fiber weave, creating a fabric with high stability with a high coefficient of resistance to abrasion and tearing. Widely used for the production of harnesses, belts and all kinds of reinforcements on fabric surfaces exposed to high loads.
SPANDEX WEBBING. Composition: 74% polypropylene, 21% elastane, 5% polyester.
Elastic woven tape with a significant admixture of elastane, generating optimal elasticity of the fibers while maintaining high compression.
ALUMINUM FRAME. Composition: 100% aluminum.
Welded external aluminum frame, mounted on large 10 cm polyurethane wheels. Used as a running system in transport bags.
POLYURETHANE WHEELS. Composition: 100% polyurethane
PU - Polyurethane is a technical material created from the combination of two raw materials, isocyanate and polyol, obtained from crude oil. This material is resistant to abrasion and wear. PU is flexible and elastic, it does not stretch permanently. The use of polyurethane allows the production of materials with increased hardness. Such elements made of PU have increased durability and chemical resistance. The material allows production in any color and in most shapes.
The Tasmanian Tiger Transporter HeavyFrame MK II is a modern version of a multi-purpose wheeled suitcase. It has a large single cargo compartment, which is accessed from the top via a solid, two-way YKK® zipper (size: 10), shaped like a horseshoe with a flap integrated on the longer side of the bag and having special zippers with overlapping eyelets, which allows the installation of a padlock and closing the bag against unauthorized access to the contents. This is extremely important, because the dimensions of the main compartment allow for the transport of a fully assembled AR15 rifle with additional equipment. This was also the assumption of the Tasmanian Tiger company, when designing this transporter, that a single bag would allow the transport of complete equipment for a mission or shooting competition. The interior of the spacious main chamber has been equipped with large panels of soft fleece on the side wall (under the integrated lid) allowing the use of Modular Weapon Fixation Set VL (number: 7357) weapon mounts from the manufacturer, ensuring safe and stable installation of weapons with equipment on loop panels. Of course, the soft Velcro patches can be used to install any equipment element with the VL (Hook-and-Loop) mounting system, such as tear-off first aid pouches (IFAK), any ammunition pouches, holsters, or even organizers and cargo pockets.
On the opposite wall, inside the main chamber, there are three bellows insert pockets, trimmed with elastic trimming made of spandex tape. The pockets are made of nylon fabric, are durable and capacious, and the elastic trim and pleats located at the bottom line allow for effective holding of equipment placed inside. On the inner wall located on the side of the wheels from the aluminum frame, there is a very spacious insert pocket with elastic piping. This pocket is made of mesh fabric and has a rounded bottom, thanks to which it perfectly adapts to the structure of the body (special recesses in the body, providing recesses for the wheels) and allows for convenient transport of the helmet with optical equipment dedicated to it. On the opposite wall, which is the top of the bag transported on wheels, there is a single insert pocket made of nylon fabric. As with the previous internal pockets, this one is also trimmed with elastic piping made of spandex tape, and has a small bottom space and two small pleats, ensuring optimal capacity while eliminating unused cargo space. The bottom of the cargo compartment, like all the internal walls, is made of polyamide fabric, has two opposite sheets of the same fabric, trimmed on the side edges with nylon tape and finished with double-sided adjustable acetal buckles (model: Dual Adjustable Champion) on the aforementioned tapes, used to compress and stabilize the equipment or clothing installed inside. Inside the lid of the bag, there is a large pocket made of mesh fabric. This pocket takes up the entire internal surface of the flap and is closed with a one-way YKK® zipper (size: 5). The pocket in the flap is relatively flat and ideally fulfills the role of a pocket for outerwear or formal or uniform shirts.
On the outside of the bag's lid, there is a small Velcro ID panel. It allows for easy personalization of the carrier, such as placing markings, name tags, or so-called morale patches. In addition to the loop panel, the lid has a strong handle for carrying the bag in your hand and two vision pockets made of transparent vinyl. The smaller pocket has an open structure and is sewn with additional nylon tape, reinforcing the inlet. It will hold a passport and documentation not exceeding the size of the aforementioned document. The larger pocket has a Velcro closure placed on the same hem as the smaller pocket. This pocket is A5 format and allows for carrying larger documentation, such as airline tickets, allocation documents, or any information you need at hand. The use of polychloride in the construction of the aforementioned pockets allows for free viewing of the documents placed inside without having to take them out multiple times.
The Transporter HeavyFrame MK II bag has two external pockets, fastened with zippers. The first one, located on the longer side of the bag, is fastened with a one-way YKK® zipper (size: 8), is flat and has no internal organizers. On its external surface there is a MOLLE/PALS mounting platform with 10 anchor columns with 5 rows of tapes. Just above the pocket zipper there is a small Velcro ID panel for personalizing the bag. The second external pocket, located on the shorter wall of the bag (at its top when we put it vertically on wheels), is a classic cargo pocket integrated with the body of the transporter. It is fastened with a two-way YKK® zipper (size: 10) and, like the zipper of the main compartment, has sliders equipped with padlock eyes securing the transported equipment against unauthorized access. This pocket has a deep opening, which significantly facilitates access to the equipment placed inside. The interior of this pocket has three slot pockets on the inner wall and, similarly to the interior of the main compartment, these pockets are sewn with elastic tape and have pleats at the bottom, slightly increasing their capacity. On the outer wall of this pocket there is also a Velcro ID identification space and a MOLLE/PALS installation panel. This platform has 10 anchor columns with 3 PALS tapes each. On the same wall as the cargo pocket, both above and below the pocket, there are transport handles. The upper one is in the same position as the handle on the opposite wall of the bag and is used to load/unload the bag from the luggage space, while the lower one is used as a handle for transporting the bag on wheels. The upper handle has an additional strap with a regulator (model: Smoothy Lock, patented by the Woojin Plastic brand) allowing for fastening and stabilizing the bag during transport or anchoring additional equipment on the outer surface of the transporter. It is worth noting that the external pockets were placed only on two walls of the bag's body not by accident. The use of such a construction of the bag's external cover allows for convenient and quick placement of the carrier in the luggage space, with the smooth side of the bag facing the wall of the cargo space of the means of transport used.
The Tasmanian Tiger carrier has comfortable and adjustable straps for carrying the bag in your hand, connected by a Velcro clamp, effectively securing the handles from catching on vehicle elements. The carrying handles are based on special dividers (model: Strap Divider) made of acetal. The specificity of these dividers is the installation on one anchor point with the bag, two separate straps made of nylon tapes, each in a separate slot of the divider. The HeavyFrame MK II bag has fully removable (integrated with Velcro) straps for carrying the bag in a horizontal position and two compression straps fastened on the aforementioned dividers. The compression straps, like the carrying straps, are completely removable (integrated with Velcro), fastened with quick release buckles (model: Dual Adjustable Champion) with double-sided adjustment. The compression straps used in this bag, covering only the top part of the carrier, in addition to the possibility of integrating additional equipment on top of the bag, also allow you to connect two identical bags in the luggage space, which additionally stabilizes the transported equipment and allows for better organization of the luggage space.
The aluminum frame is integrated with the bag using two large Velcro flaps. The flaps cover the base of the frame on both sides (front and back) and connect successively with the body of the bag and with each other. The remaining part of the frame (larger, constituting the back of the trolley) is inserted into the inlet pocket located in the bottom of the bag (outside, between the double bottom of the bag). The frame's construction fills the entire surface of this pocket and guarantees the integrity of the structure. The solutions used to install the trolley in the carrier, i.e. the correlation of the inlet pocket and the Velcro flap fastening between the running gear, allow for full load stabilization, good handling and effective movement of packed luggage, as well as for the simplicity of removing the trolley from the body of the bag. The outer surface of the bottom of the bag has two polymer rails protecting the carrier from damage and facilitating the movement of the bag in the luggage space. For better protection of the transported equipment, the outer bottom of the bag also has additional stiffening in the form of a polymer insert on the entire surface of the bottom (permanently integrated).
