The bag is made of light fabric - Cordura® 500D treated with IRR. The products made from it are characterized by incredibly high strength and durability. For this reason, the fabric is perfect for the production of clothing and tactical equipment. All zippers used in Modular Hip Back are components from the renowned YKK® company, and the acetal elements, characterized by extraordinary wear resistance, are products provided by the Woojin plastic® brand.
CORDURA® 500 DEN. Composition: 100% polyamide.
Classic CORDURA® made of air-textured 500 Denier nylon 6.6 with high tensile strength. The material compliant with TL 8305-0278 is characterized by long-term stability, high abrasion and tear resistance. CORDURA® fabrics are respected around the world and regardless of application, CORDURA® fabric offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it the first choice for durable fabrics.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal is characterized by excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal is characterized by excellent bending memory and retaining properties under repeated loads. The normal temperature range for short-term use is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications, and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for backpack buckles. The physical properties remain unchanged over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
Both CORDURA® materials, tapes, Velcro and buckles meet the high standards of the German Bundeswehr TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281 in terms of the IRR camouflage effect (IRR 650 – 1250nm / 10 – 42%).
The bag, despite its compact form, is distinguished by very good packability. The main compartment, fastened with a durable, two-way zipper, provides plenty of space for even relatively large items. In addition, on its back wall there is a Velcro panel typical of modular Tasmanian Tiger products. The Velcro segment has laser cutouts, compliant with the MOLLE standard. Thanks to this, we can use the main compartment as a large, open space, or use one of the numerous organizers produced by the German brand. In addition to the basic pocket, the bag is equipped with two smaller ones. The front pocket can easily accommodate all the handy accessories we want to have access to. The rear, flat compartment is perfect for storing important documents, money, etc.
In addition to the MOLLE panel inside the bag, webbing can also be found on its upper, outer side. Thanks to this, we can easily attach an additional, small pouch, as well as attach necessary accessories and small items. With its help, it is also possible to attach the bag to other equipment, using it as an additional pouch. The comfortable, adjustable strap allows you to adjust the Modular Hip Bag to your figure, ensuring maximum comfort of use.
