The MOLLE Hip Belt from Tasmanian Tiger consists of two mirror-identical parts, filled with 12-millimeter-thick shock-absorbing foam on the inside, and trimmed with a breathable mesh fabric on the inside. Each element has three break points separating the assembly part and two separate MOLLE/PALS installation platforms, thanks to which it fits ergonomically to the body and perfectly transfers the load of the transported equipment to the hip line. Each hip belt halves has two MOLLE mounting platforms of different sizes, made by laser cutting. The larger platforms (3 columns for 3 rows of tapes - 4 slots) are located on the lower abdomen, while the smaller ones (2 columns for 3 rows of tapes - 4 slots) are located on the sides, thanks to which we can easily adjust the preferred containers to the functionality of both these sectors. The hip belt is equipped with a system of integration with the backpack via double-sided Velcro (hook-and-loop), which guarantees stable installation and high comfort of use. The belt is fastened with a 35 mm buckle (model: Dual Adjustable Champion) by Woojin plastic®, placed on a double-sided adjustable nylon strap of the mentioned width. After adjusting, excess tape can be secured using two elastic loops included in the set.
The product is made of Cordura with a fiber thickness of 700 Den and includes buckles made of Acetal.
CORDURA® 700 DEN. Composition: 100% polyamide.
CORDURA® with a fiber thickness of 700 den is a combination of high wear and tear resistance of the classic 1000 den fabric with the lightness of a fabric with a fiber thickness of 500 den. This material is characterized by long-term stability and high abrasion and tear resistance.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal is characterized by excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal is characterized by excellent bending memory and retaining properties under repeated loads. The normal temperature range for short-term use is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications, and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for backpack buckles. The physical properties remain unchanged over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
