Tasmanian Tiger Multipurpose Side Pouch is a universal carrying basket with separate side compression on both sides, adapted for installation on the sides of backpacks and any MOLLE/PALS carrying platforms. The open design, adjustable side compression and a flexible, adjustable clamp securing the insert are the advantages that allow for the versatile use of the presented pocket.
The compression side pocket from the Tasmanian Tiger brand consists of a single cargo compartment with an open design. It is made of durable and light 700 Den Cordura and flexible and durable T-Stretch fabric. The pocket has adjustable side compression with bungee cords looped through the front and back walls. An additional advantage of this mutually individual compression is the use of acetal clamps on the bungee cords, which allow for active regulation of the pressure exerted on the carried equipment. The pocket has four drainage holes in the bottom of the cargo compartment (corners), allowing for easy evacuation of accumulated liquid and dirt in unfavorable weather conditions. At the top of the rear wall there is a bungee cord handle attached to two fixed eyelets, which is an additional clamp that allows you to grab the carried equipment and protect it against accidental falling out in situations of increased dynamics of overcoming obstacles. The inside of the back and front walls are covered with special nylon strips providing additional anti-slip protection for the equipment being carried. The pocket has been initially dedicated to carrying liter containers of water, such as Nalgene bottles not exceeding 106 millimeters in diameter, however, the wide compression capabilities of the side walls allow you to carry various equipment such as camera tripods or an external case with small binoculars, a case with a rangefinder or even a small canteen or a thermos for food.
The pocket attachment system is based on two nylon straps with stiffened ends, installed on the MOLLE reverse platform and compatible with MOLLE/PALS systems, so it can be successfully installed on any MOLLE/PALS platform of our equipment - backpack, belt or vest. The length of the straps used and the MOLLE reverse allow for direct installation on the trouser belt. The straps are adjacent to each other, so the pocket requires only two MOLLE columns for installation.
The product is made of 700D Cordura, T-Stretch elastic fabric, 420D nylon with TPU coating and bungee cords with Acetal clamps.
CORDURA® 700 Den. Composition 100% polyamide.
CORDURA® with a fiber thickness of 700 den is a combination of high wear and tear resistance of the classic 1000 den fabric with the lightness of a fabric with a fiber thickness of 500 den. This material is characterized by long-term stability and high abrasion and tear resistance.
T-STRETCH. Composition 100% polyester.
T-Stretch is a very light and strong material, resistant to wear and tear, while maintaining high fiber elasticity.
420 DEN TPU nylon. Composition 100% polyamide
Extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant polyamide material which, thanks to the coating properties, can be processed with open edges.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal is characterized by excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal is characterized by excellent bending memory and retaining properties under repeated loads. The normal temperature range for short-term use is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications, and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for backpack buckles. The physical properties remain unchanged over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
BUNGEE Cord 4 mm. Core composition: 97% rubber rubber polymer, 3% sulfur
Cover composition: 67% cotton, 31% nylon/polyamide, 2% elastane
A bungee cord with a diameter of 4 millimeters is a bundle of 28 individual rubber strands in a tight casing made of elastic fabric with a dense weave.
