Tasmanian Tiger BEL Set is a replacement set for magazine protection integrated in Chest Rig MKII vests from this manufacturer. This set allows you to replace standard flap closures with elastic bungee cord closures that slide over the inserts. The set is compatible with all pouches and vests with loading chambers lined with soft fleece.
The replacement set from Tasmanian Tiger consists of five identical closures, equipped with additional handles made of wide, ribbed nylon tape and an Acetal clamp. The closures are fastened with hard Velcro (hooks) to a soft Velcro space (loops), sewn on a patch of wide ribbed tape with an integrated bungee cord inside. The handles are wound through elastic cords and have an additional third loop made of a polyester laminate with TPU-coated nylon, intended for alternative applications and for modulating the closure used. The bungee cords used in the presented closures are 50 centimeters long, which allows them to be used even in double rifle pouches.
The set is made of Acetal, textile-coated rubber lines, polyester, TPU-coated nylon and ribbed nylon braid.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal is characterized by excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal is characterized by excellent bending memory and retaining properties under repeated loads. The normal temperature range for short-term use is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications, and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for backpack buckles. The physical properties remain unchanged over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
BUNGEE CORD 4 mm. Core composition: 97% rubber rubber polymer, 3% sulfur
Cover composition: 67% cotton, 31% nylon/polyamide, 2% elastane
A bungee cord with a diameter of 4 millimeters is a bundle of 28 individual rubber strands in a tight casing made of elastic fabric with a dense weave.
NYLON TAPE. Composition: 100% polyamide
Extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant polyamide material with a dense ribbed braid structure.
NYLON TPU 420 DEN. Composition 100% polyamide
Extremely tear- and abrasion-resistant polyamide material which, thanks to the coating properties, can be processed with open edges.
POLYESTER. Composition: 100% polyester.
Textured 600 denier polyester fabric is strong, durable and versatile.
