Made entirely of durable but lightweight KYDEX®, which is characterized by high resistance to damage and long life. Pistol is secured in holster by simple press-fit and its combined with the ability to adjust the retention with screws with rubber spacers, ensures safe handling and quick and easy draw of the weapon.
In addition, the holster has a Speed Lock retention system, which is a patented design consisting of a strap that secures the weapon from being taken or falling out, and a system for releasing that lock. The Level 2 security features meet the requirements of many large professional services. The system features an ergonomic release that is perfectly sized and positioned for repeated positive activation, while ensuring that the weapon is securely retrieved in one smooth motion. There is no need for additional grip adjustment before or after drawing the gun.
The lever is activated by a thumb press and lowers the spring-loaded handguard in a fraction of a second. This allows the pistol to be immediately reloaded as soon as the grip is secure. This differs significantly from other designs that require pressing the lock release and then a forward motion by the user to secure the grip. The backward unlocking motion saves valuable clearance between the retention system and the mounting platform. Since it does not require the thumb to be pressed downward and outward (toward the body).
This version of the holster features a mid-ride mount with an aluminum MHA (Modular Holster Adaptor) panel that allows the pistol to be lowered below the shooter's waistline, enabling it to work better with a tactical vest. The adapter fits all Safariland™ three-hole holsters and holsters from other brands that use this proven attachment method. It also supports many common quick-release holster systems such as QLS, MLS, ELS and others. The adapter allows you to adjust the degree of tilt of the holster (10° forward tilt and 10° negative tilt), allowing you to comfortably adjust it to your preference. There are an additional three attachment points in height, 1/2″ apart, descending from the top attachment point at mid-length. This allows the user to custom configure the tilt and height of the holster based on personal preference and body size / type. The panel has an additional grommet at the bottom, allowing for the use of a thigh strap to further stabilize the holster (thigh strap included).
