Templars Gear CIBV Cataphract Integrated Ballistic Vest is a multi-purpose vest that allows you to carry both hard and soft ballistic inserts. To provide more comprehensive protection, the set comes with soft armor compatible ballistic collar cover, which is intended to protect the neck area against fragments.
The well-thought-out design and materials used guarantee both durability and comfort during use. Thanks to the use of laser cutting laminate technology and the use of a single layer, the weight was noticeably reduced and the color consistency of the entire vest was maintained.
The vest consists of two panels, front and rear, which are connected and adjustable thanks to Velcro fastenings on the shoulder straps and ROC (Rapid Open Connector) buckles. Both the front and rear panels have a two-chamber design and allow for carrying at the same time of soft and hard ballistic inserts. Closer to the body there is a compartment for soft inserts, and at the front there is a compartment for carrying SAPI / ESAPI ballistic plates with a maximum size of 25 x 30 cm. Both compartments are fastened from the bottom with Velcro. The advantage of such design is greater comfort of use and reducing the risk of faster wear or damage to the soft inserts by the plates. The set also includes a neck protection module that will accommodate dedicated soft inserts. Of course, the set can be expanded with additional protective elements for the arms or crotch (sold separately).
Instead of being trimmed with MOLLE/PALS standard panels, the entire surface of the vest has laser-cut slots, which still allows for any configuration of pouches and pouches. The inner part of the vest has specially formed spacer panels that are designed to improve air circulation and comfort of use when fully loaded. There is a piece of Velcro on the front panel for patches or infrared identifiers. There are also adjustable loops on both sides of the front panel for routing radio cables or hydration system tubes.
In the lower section there is a wide, two-part Cummerbund belt, which also has internal pockets for soft ballistic inserts. There are additional spacer panels on the inside of the belt, which improve comfort and reduce the risk of abrasion during use. The belt is attached by pulling it through the pass-through pocket on the back panel and fastened on the panel with two ROC buckles.
The product should be cleaned as recommended by the manufacturer at temperatures up to 30 C deg. It is also recommended instead of washing, cleaning with a damp sponge or with detergents dedicated to Cordura wash and care.
