The Tasmanian Tiger company has been present on the market for almost half a century and is still associated with very high quality of workmanship and the use of innovative materials. TT products are very popular among people looking for reliable tactical equipment, including uniformed services officers. It is vests, pouches and various types of accessories that constitute the main business profile of the brand.
The vest consists of two panels, front and rear, which are connected and adjustable thanks to Velcro fastenings on the suspenders and ROC (Rapid Open Connector) buckles. The panels are designed to carry SAPI ballistic inserts with dimensions of 30 x 25 cm.
Almost the entire surface of the vest has laser-cut slots compatible with the MOLLE system, which allows for individual configuration of pouches and pouches. The inner part of the Plate Carrier has special spacer mesh trim, which is designed to improve air circulation and comfort of use when fully loaded. There is a long piece of Velcro on the front panel intended for patches or infrared identifiers.
Tasmanian Tiger Plate Carrier QR LC ZP is, above all, a really convenient solution. The vests are finished in such a way that they cause as little abrasion as possible and guarantee maximum comfort. It is almost entirely made of a material typical of the German brand's products, made in camouflage or shielded versions with the IRR camouflage effect - Cordura® 500 denier. Another extremely durable polyamide fabric used to produce the presented ballistic plate carrier is matte-finished Nylon with high yarn density and a grammage of 420 DEN. ROC 80 buckles (integrating the cummerbund with the front panel) and ROC 40 buckles (integrating the shoulder straps with the front panel) are made of extremely durable Acetal by the Italian brand Due Emme® [2M].
CORDURA® 500 DEN treated with IRR. Composition: 100% polyamide.
Classic CORDURA® made of air-textured 500 Denier nylon 6.6 with high tensile strength. The material compliant with TL 8305-0278 is characterized by long-term stability, high abrasion and tear resistance. CORDURA® fabrics are respected around the world and regardless of application, CORDURA® fabric offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it the first choice for durable fabrics.
NYLON 420 DEN HD FD. Composition: 100% polyamide.
The classic 420 denier nylon material works well in the "High Density" (HD) version as a good base material that can be used flexibly. The 420 denier thread ensures high tensile strength, and at the same time the FD (Full-Dull) yarn gives the material a matte surface. Triple PU coating ensures water resistance.
ACETAL. Composition: 100% acetal
Acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer material. Acetal is characterized by excellent tensile strength, stiffness, surface hardness and chemical resistance. Acetal is characterized by excellent bending memory and retaining properties under repeated loads. The normal temperature range for short-term use is -40°F to +270°F (-40°C to +132°C). Acetal is recommended for high-performance applications, and Tasmanian Tiger uses this material for backpack buckles. The physical properties remain unchanged over a wide range of temperatures, relative humidity and weather conditions.
Both CORDURA® and Nylon materials, as well as tapes, Velcro and buckles meet the high standards of the German Bundeswehr TL 8305-0278 and TL 8305-0281 in terms of the IRR camouflage effect (IRR 650 – 1250nm / 10 – 42%).
The ZP version of the vest is equipped with zippers at the back that allow the attachment of various panels and backpacks from the ZP series, which allows for quick changes in configuration and functionality (spacing: 25 cm, Vislon type, thickness: 10, length: 24 cm.). The set includes a zippered panel (TT Molle Panel ZP, item 7303).
