Choć kolby Gen1 UBR®, jak i STR® posiadają mocowania na zaczepy QD Type 1 domyślnie umieszczone na lewej stronie kolby, ten zestaw Type 2 pozwala na umieszczenie mocowań na przeciwnej stronie kolby.
Dodatkowo, aby korzystać z obustronnych mocowań w kolbach SGA®, MOE® Rifle, MOE® Fixed Carbine, MOE® AK, Zhukov-S, Hunter 700, oraz Hunter X-22, ten zestaw Type 2 musi być używany w połączeniu z opcjonalnym zestawem Type 1.
Wytrzymała, czarna, fosfatyzowana konstrukcja stalowa z łatwością instaluje się na wyposażeniu. Zaczepy obrotowe nie są dołączone do zestawu.
