The Schrade SCH702 Cage Folding Knife (1084283) from the American manufacturer Schrade is an ultra-light folding knife, designed for everyday use. The slim structure and design of the handle makes the knife fit in any pocket, and its weight is almost imperceptible.
The Clip Point-shaped blade is made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, covered with a titanium protective coating, has a flat grind, finished with a plain cutting edge. The knife blade is extracted from the handle with a convenient flipper mounted on ball bearings, thanks to which the knife opens extremely quickly and without any additional resistance. The flipper, after opening the knife, is a prominent crossguard, protecting against accidental slipping of the hand onto the blade.
The handle of the knife is made of steel covered with titanium nitride, it has numerous holes with different geometry, thanks to which it does not lose its stiffness and strength despite the significantly reduced weight. Additional, minimalist G10 plastic cladding ensures a secure and comfortable grip. The knife is equipped with a Frame Lock, preventing the knife from folding during operation. The whole structure is finished with a carrying clip and an eyelet for rewinding the safety leash on the wrist.
