Spartan Blades Machai is a large fixed blade knife, which was designed with KA-BAR Knives for military and tactical purposes. Nevertheless, it is an exceptionally universal design that will work well in outdoor activities or every day.
The knife is made of German 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel. It is a modern material that differs from 1095 in an admixture of chrome and vanadium. The steel is characterized by excellent cutting properties and strength. To increase resistance to corrosion and scratching, the blade has been covered with a special powder coating. The cutting edge is highly hardened, to the level of approx. 58 HRC, which translates into excellent sharpness. The construction of the knife is full tang, so the pin extends through the entire length of the handle, making it extremely durable. The linings are made of black micarta, i.e. pressure-pressed fabric soaked in resin. This extremely durable material provides great grip, even when working with wet hands or gloves. The linings also have a deep texture, which additionally strengthens the grip.
The steath is made of a durable polymer by injection. Numerous holes allow for convenient adjustment and installation of the most popular systems, such as Tek-Lok. The steath is also equipped with a belt loop, thanks to which the knife can be easily carried on the belt.
