5.11 Ferro is a very practical combination of two things necessary in the field - a small knife and a flint, with which we can light a fire in all conditions.
The Ferro Knife was made of 420J2 steel. It is a material that is primarily characterized by a very high resistance to corrosion. This feature is particularly important in the case of a typical EDC tool. Thanks to the stainless steel of the knife, we do not have to deal with its additional maintenance or worry about its condition after work, e.g. in wet material. What's more, Ferro Knife will also work in a humid environment, so we can successfully use it, for example, on sails, during canoeing etc. Additionally, the knife is covered with a special Teflon coating. Its task is to provide even greater protection against corrosion, as well as to facilitate cleaning of the tool.
