Cold Steel Leatherneck Tanto D2 (39LSFCT) is a large knife with a fixed blade, which was designed for military purposes, but it will also work well as a survival or camping knife.
The knife has a very durable full tang construction, based on a almost 5 mm thick blade, in the a Tanto shape. The model was made of high-quality D2 tool steel, which shows high abrasion resistance, as well as excellent cutting properties, but at the cost of lower impact resistance. In addition, the entire blade has been protected with Black Powder coating, which increases corrosion resistance and reduces glare, which is undesirable in some situations.
The two-component handle has been made by injection, combining the Kray-Ex elastomer with Griv-Ex material, thanks to which it absorbs some of the shocks, provides a comfortable and secure grip, even with wet or dirty hands. At the end of the handle there is a hole for attaching a rope loop, which will provide additional protection against accidental slipping of the hand on the blade during work. The set also includes a high-quality sheath made of Secure-Ex polymer, which can be attached to the belt with a belt loop or attached to the TekLok buckle.
