5.11 Tactical – From a Passion for Climbing to a Worldwide Recognizable Brand

The history of 5.11 Tactical, an American company, is closely tied to a couple of climbing pioneers in Yosemite – Liz and Royal Robbins. Conquering (often for the first time) exceptionally difficult peaks in the 1960s, they noticed a lack of suitable clothing that wouldn't restrict movement or hinder climbing and would offer proper durability.
